A short 15 minute commuter plane ride or a little longer, but beautiful, water taxi ride puts you into Belize City…your gateway to the wonders of Belize. As the only English speaking country in Central America you’ll have no difficulty in communicating with Belizeans from Corozal Town in the North to Punta Gorda Town in the far South or Cayo in the West and Dangriga in the East. Spanish is also widely spoken along with a variety of other languages and Belize’s own special Creole dialect.

Belize has paved highways (rental cars are readily available as are buses and taxis) making it possible to explore the magnificent Rain Forest areas, spectacular ancient Mayan Cities and Sites (Belize was the center of the Mayan World) throughout the entire country. Incredible Zip Lining over the Rain Forest canopy and Cave Tubing are exceptionally popular activities among visitors from all over the world. Belize also has the second largest cave system (you can visit and explore many) in Central America. The majestic Mountain Pine Ridge in the Cayo District is the only one of its kind in the tropics, anywhere in the world!
